( Levels Of Service ) Service level or service level ، or abbreviated is a concept in asset management and specifically infrastructure asset management that refers to the quality of a given service. Determination and measurement of service levels is a fundamental activity in developing an infrastructure asset management plan. Service levels may be linked to the physical performance of assets or defined through customer expectations and satisfaction. The second is more service-oriented than asset-driven. For example, when measuring the level of service of a road, it can be an indicator of physical performance, such as status indicators pavement, or PCI, measured, or do this with a criterion related to customer satisfaction, such as the number of complaints per month, did. Or as for the level of traffic service it can be measured by road geometry or vehicle travel time the latter represents the quality of traffic flow. So the level of service can have several aspects: customer satisfaction، environmental requirements and regulatory requirements.
