( Guided Bomb Unit ) GBU bombs or units of guided bombsŲŒ or precision guided bombs are a category of bombs usually headed or without an aerial engine that are directed by optical guidance laser guidance and the user of the GPS Global Positioning System.to the target and destroy their target. Most series bombs, such as JB-16 JB-10 JB-12 JB-15 JB-24, have trench-breaking or anti-fortification properties. These bombs have been used in the Iran-Iraq War, the Vietnam War, and other wars. In the Iran-Iraq war, Iran used JB-10 bombs against facilities and gathering sites of Iraqi forces.
