The cause of most cases is a deficiency of ENZYME1 13 in plasma, which is a METALLOENZYME. patients are severe due to clot formation of thrombocytopenia and nmmy micro -yngiopathic. The microscopic clots formed cause to organs like the kidney (causing kidney failure) heart and brain (possibly headaches.neurological disorder and stroke). Patients often also have a fever. Oscillating neurological manifestations are common, and intracerebral hemorrhage is a common cause of death.
